Gosh, how may ways are there to say,,,nightmare?

I got a great job offer (I actually work in Jerome, but live in Twin Falls) pretty much out of the blue and eventually accepted it.

It is hard to move when you have been at the same job and living in the same place for 15 years.

Although the move was itself a nightmare, I love it here and so do the kits. My new house has tons of huge windows that go to the floor; two sets of sliding glass doors. Perfect for kitties.

I think that the crew took the move well. I had them paired or tripled in big carriers in my Explorer for the move proper. They were "packed" according to size and weight so it happened that cats who did not like each other ended up together in the same carrier. Despite my misgivings, what this did was make new "buddies" !!

The 8 hour move ended up taking three days; we moved the weekend of the "blizzard of the decade" here in TF, and ended up stuck for the weekend out at my friends' (whose son helped me move and drove the Uhaul)ranch in Kimberly, cats and all.

The cats seem to all have had purrsonality transplants since we got here and are, in general, very "good". I thought it was the result of the trauma of the move although despite all, they seemed to have done much better than I could ever have imagined, better than me even. But, someone told me it was that they had all arrived here at the same time which lessens territoriality.
